2018 (Or 2019) Ford Ecosport Redesign – Although Ford EcoSport has just arrived in the United States, the car maker is actually one of the first people to enter in a pint crossover game.
More than a decade ago, the Brazilian operation at Ford encapsulated the first generation EcoSport; So successful was the model there that follow-up was offered almost everywhere Ford sold cars-except in the U.S., home market.
It’s all changed. Starting on sale early next year as a 2018 model, the EcoSport slot is under Escape here and is designed to fit in the growing subcompact crossover market against cars like the Jeep Renegade, Mazda CX-3 and Chevrolet Trax.
Ford will offer EcoSport in S, SE, SES, and Titanium trim grades, as well as two engines and a choice between front-wheel drive and front wheels.

EcoSport may arrive here as 2018, but its basic design is starting to be produced in Brazil by mid-2012. Ford promises that EcoSport has been updated thoroughly for us. Underhood, there will be a choice between turbocharged 1.0-liter 3-cylinder and naturally-aspirated 2.0-liter 4-cylinder. Both engines are mated to 6-speed automatic and front-wheel drive, though 2.0 will be available with all-wheel drive.
The SES model features unique steering and suspension settings, and the standard comes with an all-wheel drive and 2.0-liter engine.
Do not look for EcoSport to be an off-roader like Renegade, but it should be able to crawl up more than just a dirt road thanks to its global origination. Anyhow, this needs to be as useful as in Siberia as it is on the South Coast to be successful.
American EcoSport keeps the heavy and heavy back-door back tires offered in markets where roads are easier to crush some rubber. With its gilding belt line, this stock has much in common with Chevy Trax, though EcoSport has a smoother and smoother look ahead with a grille that can be picked from Edge car makers.
Inside, EcoSport does not reveal low-end roots at first glance. The large 8.0-inch touch screen infotainment system stands out from the dash like the current fashion with tech vehicles. The SES model wore a dress with generous copper trims on the dashboard, door, and seat.

We need to update this space once we have the opportunity to sit and navigate EcoSport, but our international colleagues have reported that the global market for EcoSport is quite roomy for its small dimensions.
Side side cargo doors avoid conventional liftgates, which can make vehicle loading in tight garages difficult. On the other hand, doors would be easier for shorter and better drivers for low garages where the liftgate could erode the ceiling. The cargo floor itself is equipped with moving floor panels, while the second folds fold for larger items of storage.
Ford says it includes up to 30 storage places inside EcoSport, which means you will never be able to find your phone chargers again.
So far, Ford does not have detailed safety equipment yet, but we will update this space once we know more.
On the front features, expected basic S model is quite tight; SE should be a volume configuration, while SES 2.0 is only designed to give the impression of sporty and Titanium with topping the range comes standard with B & O Play 10 speaker audio system.
Certain models will include a 110 volt outlet and a pair of installed USB ports right in front of the shift lever. The 8.0-inch touch screen features an updated Sync3 infotainment system by Ford, which can be equipped with navigation or Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
